Easy Bound Book is a cloud-based electronic A&D system. There is also a separate "Easy Bound Book Dynamics" variant that runs as a Microsoft Dynamics add-on — see the separate guide if you use the Dynamics version.
What Orchid Does With This File
Orchid eBound imports your open firearms and links each to your POS inventory. Historical (disposed) records stay archived in Easy Bound Book per ATF requirements.
Before You Start
- Commit any pending acquisitions before exporting.
- The export is generated server-side and may take about a minute to process.
Step-by-Step Instructions
- Sign in to Easy Bound Book.
- Navigate to Bound Book in the top menu.
- Click Advanced Search.
- Set the Display filter to "Open Acquisition" (open items only).
- Click the "Get CSV" button.
- A confirmation appears — the file is being generated. Navigate to the Downloads page.
- Wait approximately one minute, then refresh the page. Look for a new entry marked "NEW!" in red.
- The download is a compressed .zip file. Save it and send the .zip directly to Orchid — do not extract or open it.
Expected File Format
Compressed .zip file containing a CSV. Do NOT extract and open the CSV in Excel.
Expected Columns
- Manufacturer / Importer
- Model
- Serial Number
- Type
- Caliber / Gauge
- Acquisition Date
- Acquired From (Name, Address, FFL)
- Disposition Date (blank for open items)
- Notes
Watch Out For
- The file downloads as a .zip archive, not a plain CSV. Send the .zip directly to Orchid.
- Do NOT open the contained CSV file in Excel — it will corrupt serial numbers and FFL numbers.
- The download page may take up to a minute to generate the file. Refresh the page and look for the "NEW!" label.
