This is the Microsoft Dynamics add-on variant of Easy Bound Book. If you use the standalone cloud version, see the separate Easy Bound Book guide.

What Orchid Does With This File

Orchid eBound imports your open firearms from the Dynamics-based Easy Bound Book. The export process runs through the Dynamics application interface.

Before You Start

  • This guide is for the Microsoft Dynamics integration only.
  • Make sure all pending entries are posted before exporting.

Step-by-Step Instructions

  1. Open the Easy Bound Book application within Dynamics.
  2. Navigate to Posted Easy Bound Book > All Open Firearms.
  3. Click the Easy Bound Book button.
  4. In the settings, check "Show Open Acquisitions Only" and "Print Address".
  5. Click "Send to..." and select "Microsoft Excel Document (data only)".
  6. Click OK to generate and save the file.
  7. If a warning appears about a missing FFL filter, click Yes to proceed — this exports all records regardless of FFL.

Expected File Format

Excel workbook (.xlsx) via the Dynamics "Send to" export.

Expected Columns

  • Manufacturer / Importer
  • Model
  • Serial Number
  • Type
  • Caliber / Gauge
  • Acquisition Date
  • Acquired From (Name, Address, FFL)
  • Country of Manufacture
  • Notes

Watch Out For

  • You may see a warning: "A report filter for FFL has not been selected." Click Yes to proceed — this just means the export isn't filtered to a single FFL.
  • The Dynamics export includes all open acquisitions across all FFL numbers in your account.
CSV Warning: Do NOT open exported CSV files in Excel and save them. Excel silently strips leading zeros from serial numbers and FFL numbers, converts long numbers to scientific notation, and reformats dates. If you need to inspect the file, open it in a plain text editor or use Data > From Text/CSV in Excel with columns set to Text.
