EPICOR's firearms compliance module is used by some retailers running EPICOR ERP. The bound book report exports through the standard EPICOR reporting interface.

What Orchid Does With This File

Orchid eBound imports your open firearms from EPICOR's compliance module. If you also use EPICOR for POS/ERP, see your Orchid consultant for the full migration plan.

Before You Start

  • EPICOR's bound book may be organized by book type. You can export all books at once or filter to a specific one.
  • The export runs through EPICOR's standard report viewer.

Step-by-Step Instructions

  1. Sign in to EPICOR.
  2. In the left sidebar, expand Firearm and click Compliance.
  3. Click Run Reports and select Bound Book.
  4. Optionally filter by specific bound book in the "Include" section, or leave it to export all.
  5. Under "View as:", click the Microsoft Excel button to export.
  6. Save the file.

Expected File Format

Excel workbook via the EPICOR report viewer.

Expected Columns

  • Manufacturer / Importer
  • Model
  • Serial Number
  • Type
  • Caliber / Gauge
  • Acquisition Date
  • Acquired From (Name, Address, FFL)
  • Disposition Date
  • Disposed To
  • Notes

Watch Out For

  • If you filter by a specific bound book, you'll need to run the export separately for each book.
  • Leaving the Include section unchanged exports all books in one file.
  • The report includes both open and disposed records — Orchid will filter to open-only during import.
CSV Warning: Do NOT open exported CSV files in Excel and save them. Excel silently strips leading zeros from serial numbers and FFL numbers, converts long numbers to scientific notation, and reformats dates. If you need to inspect the file, open it in a plain text editor or use Data > From Text/CSV in Excel with columns set to Text.
