What Orchid Does With This File

Orchid eBound imports your acquisition records from EZ Arms Keeper. The export captures your full A&D data which Orchid filters to open items during import.

Before You Start

  • EZ Arms Keeper is a desktop application — run the export from the PC where it's installed.
  • Note the save location shown at the top of the export window.

Step-by-Step Instructions

  1. Open EZ Arms Keeper on your store PC.
  2. Click File > Export > Acquisitions.
  3. Keep the file type as "CSV Files" — do not change this setting.
  4. Choose a save location and click Save. The default filename is "exported_acquisitions".
  5. Send the CSV file directly to Orchid — do NOT open it in Excel first.

Expected File Format

CSV file. Default filename: "exported_acquisitions".

Expected Columns

  • Manufacturer / Importer
  • Model
  • Serial Number
  • Type
  • Caliber / Gauge
  • Acquisition Date
  • Acquired From (Name, Address, FFL)
  • Disposition Date
  • Disposed To
  • Notes

Watch Out For

  • Keep the file type as "CSV Files" in the save dialog — do not change it.
  • Note the save location displayed at the top of the window so you can find the file afterward.
  • Desktop application — make sure you're running the export on the PC where EZ Arms Keeper is installed.
CSV Warning: Do NOT open exported CSV files in Excel and save them. Excel silently strips leading zeros from serial numbers and FFL numbers, converts long numbers to scientific notation, and reformats dates. If you need to inspect the file, open it in a plain text editor or use Data > From Text/CSV in Excel with columns set to Text.
