Orchid eBound

4473 – Exit Button on Overturn Screen:

Added an Exit button to the overturn screen in the 4473. The previous “Previous” button has been replaced with a functional Cancel option to improve clarity and navigation.

Kiosk Code Expiration:
 Kiosk access codes will now automatically expire after 24 hours, increasing security. As part of this update, all historical kiosk codes will be cleared at cutover to ensure a fresh start.

4473 Paper Forms – A&D Number Display:

Paper 4473 forms will now display the 4473 number in the A&D record, ensuring better traceability.

​

4473  Pre-Completion Edits:
Users can now make corrections to a 4473 form prior to its completion, improving flexibility and reducing the need for post-submission edits.

​

Multiple Sales Form Review – Pagination / Speed:
The MSF Review page has been modified to show a paginated view of potential transactions warranting a 3310.4 or 3310.12. This new view significantly increases page load time for larger stores.

Bug Fixes

• Paper Correction File Uploads: Fixed an issue where files uploaded to a form as part of a paper correction did not appear in the attachments section. All uploaded correction files will now display correctly.
• Incorrect Timestamps on Notes: Resolved a bug where notes were being recorded with the wrong timestamp, ensuring accurate historical tracking.
• Disposition Notes Overwriting: Corrected an issue in Paper 4473 where disposition notes were overriding existing notes instead of adding to them. Notes will now be preserved and recorded correctly. 

 

Orchid eCommerce

Important Announcement - Online Menu Structure:

As previously shared, we’ve rolled out major updates to the navigation in Orchid POS, including the merging of the POS and eCommerce menus. With that milestone complete, our focus shifted to enhancing and streamlining the Orchid eCommerce platform. Recent improvements include faster website performance, more powerful shopping tools with upgraded search and filtering, the launch of a drag-and-drop website builder and expanded theme customization options for users.

The final part of this phase of enhancements, and the focus of this communication is a revamped Online menu, navigation structure. 

 

Effective Tuesday, August 12, the new menu structure will be released. The material changes are as follows:

1.  Grouping like features together (i.e., all product display functions are in one location)

1. Renaming menus to describe what they actually do (i.e., Site Builder has been renamed Header & Footer, and the Home Page builder has been extracted)

1. Reordered the menu to be in sync with how a site would be built (i.e., step one – define my product groups)

1. Eliminated old and unused features.

 

The main drop-down sections will become:

1. Define Products
2. Create Navigation
   
3. Build & Manage Site
   
4. Configure Checkout
   
5. Engage Customers

Improved Mobile Shopping Experience:

On mobile devices, products will now display immediately without requiring users to scroll past filter options. This update streamlines the browsing process, allowing shoppers to start viewing items faster and with less friction.

 

Manufacturer Name in Product Boxes:

Shop pages can now display the product’s manufacturer name directly within the product box. This makes it easier for customers to identify brand-specific products at a glance without needing to click through to the product details page.

 

Remove Phone Number Hyperlinks in Headers:

We’ve removed the phone number hyperlink in the site header across all themes. 

 

Navigation Menu Enhancements: 

The Gallery page option has been added to the Navigation Menu drop-down selection. Later this week, we will also be adding a Brands page option.  

 

 

Bug Fixes

• Hide Out-of-Stock Products: Fixed an issue where enabling the “Hide Out of Stock” toggle did not consistently remove unavailable items from the storefront. Out-of-stock products will now be hidden as intended when the option is turned on.
• $0 Items Display Issue: Resolved a problem where $0 items were still appearing on the website despite the “Disable $0 Sale” toggle being active. This ensures that free or placeholder items remain hidden from shoppers unless explicitly allowed.

Shopping Filters – Shopping filters are being completely rebuilt, including the option to remove them from non-product pages, and only display categories relevant to the pages in which they reside.

Orchid POS

Expanded Serial Number Search History: The Serial Number Search History feature now includes results for items marked as Inactive or Archived. This provides a more complete search history, ensuring older or discontinued items can still be located for reference.

 

Drop Ship Out-of-Stock Notifications: When a customer places a drop ship order for an out-of-stock item, the system will now automatically move the quantity to a special order and send a notification to the store owner. This helps ensure timely follow-up and better customer communication.

 

Bug Fixes

• Sales Tax Recording Accuracy: Resolved an issue where out-of-state invoices were being recorded with incorrect sales tax rates. This also addresses cases where returned items were generating mismatched tax amounts compared to the original sale. The fix ensures tax calculations are consistent and accurate, especially for returns.
• Inbound Transfer, $0 Transfer Fee: It was discovered that an inbound transfer could not be completed if the transfer fee was set to $0. The process now works correctly regardless of fee amount.
• Master Catalog Cleanup: Removed NLA (No Longer Available) items from the Master Catalog to reduce clutter and improve product search relevance.
