Overview
Orchid POS v1.34.17 provides enhancements
and updates to the following areas:
· Locked Serial Number
· Gift Certificates
· Avalara AvaTax
New Business Process
Locked Serial Number
Previously, users could select a SKU and a serial number before selecting a customer. The system was unable to correctly assign the serial number to the consumer and the serial number would become “locked.” To prevent serial numbers from becoming locked, the user is now required to select a customer prior to selecting the serial number.
Firearms and Gift Certificates share the same serial number logic. The sale of a gift certificate now also requires a customer to be selected before the sale can be completed. Gift certificates can be used on any transaction.
New Software Feature
Avalara AvaTax Now Available
Avalara AvaTax is a cloud-based solution automating transaction tax
calculations and the tax filing process. Avalara provides real-time tax calculation
using tax content from more than 12,000 U.S. jurisdictions and over 200
countries, ensuring your transaction tax is calculated based on the most
current tax rules.
